BarkerGilmore has been engaged on an exclusive basis to identify a General Counsel for a rapidly growing Bay area, consumer products company.  While most of our client’s competition is struggling, our client is having another record setting year.  If you have an interest in a lead position which combines business operations and law, then this is the opportunity for you.

Due to significant growth, this privately owned company seeks to hire its first internal lawyer to function as the General Counsel and report directly to the CEO.  Our client has experienced double digit growth every year for the past nine years.  We are looking for a business minded lawyer who can not only manage the legal function, but also act as the Chief Operating Officer.  As the COO, the lawyer will interact with Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Distribution.  Legal responsibilities will include corporate matters, licensing, trademarks, international trade, employment law and litigation.  This is the perfect opportunity for a well rounded lawyer to join a growing company with a successful business platform and be intimately involved with taking the company to the next level.
